Although the production did not impress the critics - suffice it to mention that the opinion-forming website "Rotten Tomatoes" received only 55 percent positive reviews from reviewers - it did win the hearts of fans from all over the world. The film was a huge commercial success, earning almost 700 million dollars worldwide. A decade later, a sequel to the film was released, entitled "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" , which, although it did not achieve such an impressive financial result, attracted crowds of viewers to the cinemas, just like the first part.

For several years now, there has been talk of plans to make a third part of the series , which would conclude the musical trilogy. Although the creators have not revealed any information on this subject, the silence has just been broken by one of the producers of the series, Judy Craymer. It turns out that another sequel to "Mamma Mia!" has been in the works for a long time .

She added that a script for the production has already been written, but she does not intend to reveal any details about the plot of the film at this time.

Craymer was asked if Sabrina Carpenter , an American singer who gained international fame thanks to the global hit "Espresso", could join the cast. The artist is known for appreciating the work of ABBA - she regularly performs covers of the legendary Swedish band's songs at her concerts. The producer admitted that she does not rule out her participation in the upcoming production.
